In 2019, Selina was invited by conductor Antonio Ciacca to choreograph for his evening-length score, Pulses (2019) presented at the La Spezia Jazz Festival in Italy. Within the evening-length score, she choreographed Goree, Septet, Ballad-Wuppertal, and Pulses—a series of duets, a trio, and a quintet to Ciacca’s vibrant and funky jazz music. The full performance was held at the outdoor stage of Teatro Civico della Spezia. It was a product of the collaboration between world-renowned jazz musicians and Selina’s dancers' experiences during a creative residency that occurred at the civic theater in La Spezia, Italy.
